Mae McDermott

Mae McDermott is a writing major and English minor at Ithaca College. She serves as coeditor-in-chief of Stillwater and layout editor of Buzzsaw Magazine. Her poems have been performed on the podcast Newcomers and her essays have appeared in Oakland Arts Review, borrowed solace, Loose Tooth, Passion Project, and Buzzsaw Magazine. Mae is eager to learn about and grow into writing, editing, publishing, and layout. Shaped by journalistic family tradition, Mae has always relied on writing as a medium of indiscriminate human connection and peaceful self-expression and wishes to become a good custodian of the craft. She lives in Clarksburg, Maryland, ​with her family.
